Lies

Isaiah 54:17 says that “No weapon formed against you shall prosper…”

The enemy sure has a way of forming weapons. In a world of modern advances to make life “easier” the ability to live at peace in our hearts and minds is getting harder and harder. Culture is plagued with insecurity.

For just a minute, let’s replace the word “WEAPON” with “LIE”. 

“No LIE that is formed against you shall prosper” –

Whoah.

Crafty lies of the enemy are formed as weapons against the children of God. They may not prosper – but they sure make a dent in our moods, our actions and they change our ability to live at peace.

When lies take over our thoughts we go to the Word that says in Philippians 4,

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.”

If the enemy has formed lies leading to your insecurities you may be thinking that you don’t make a difference, that throwing in the towel is the best option, that there is nobody on earth that cares, that life can’t get any better, that everyone else is better.

If this is you, pray that God will dispel every lie and replace it with truth. I want you to pick up the Word of God, that is your sword, and begin to read and take time to write down things that are TRUE, NOBLE, RIGHT, PURE, PRAISEWORTHY and EXCELLENT.

Remember, in the “RIGHT NOW” mentality of text messaging, social media, smart phones and bad habits, we often leave little room and/or time for the truth of God to truly penetrate our hearts.  Pray that the Lord show you the lies that the enemy has formed against you, teach you how to take that lie captive and let Him replace each one with TRUTH.
